Sikaripara (ST) Assembly Constituency, Jharkhand 




Sikaripara assembly constituency is one of the 81 assembly constituencies in the state of Jharkhand.

It comes under the Dumka district. 

This assembly seat is reserved for the Scheduled Tribes. 

The seat was established in the year 2000.

The ratio of SC and ST voters in the constituency is 4.85% and 56.08% respectively.

The Hindu voters are around 82.5% and the Muslim voters are 17.4% of the total population. 

This is a majorly rural constituency with 100% of the voters residing in rural areas.

Nalin Soren is elected to the Jharkhand assembly constituency from Sikaripara. 

His education qualification is 12th Passed. 

In the recent 2019 assembly elections to the state of Jharkhand, he won from Sikaripara constituency by defeating Paritosh Soren of BJP. 

He is a seven time MLA and have been representing this constituency since 2000. 

In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections he won from the Dumka Lok Sabha seat by defeating Sita Soren of BJP. Since then Sikaripara assembly seat is vacant.
